The Fort Greene CSA will begin this season's distribution in early June 2011. We are very excited for our third year! Full shares (which contain 5-7 items each week, and will provide enough vegetables for a family of 2-3 people) will cost approximately $300-$400 on a sliding scale. Half shares, which are picked up every other week, will also be available for approximately $150 - $200 on a sliding scale. These prices are for 22 weeks of deliveries (11 weeks for half shares) and do not include our administrative fee of $15. Individuals with incomes below $25,000 and families with incomes below $30,000 can request low-cost shares, which work out to less than $14/week for full shares and about $7/week for half shares. Shares can be picked up Wednesdays between 5:00 pm-7:30 pm at the Northeast corner of Fort Greene Park (Myrtle Avenue & Washington Park -- Cumberland Ave. south of Dekalb). At the present time, we are operating a waiting list for people interested in joining the CSA this year. For more information about signing up, please use the link below to send us an email. Still deciding if CSA is a good deal? We created a cost comparison. Our CSA is organized with the assistance of FUREE, Just Food, and the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership. Please email us if you would like to receive information about becoming a member. |
