The Fort Greene CSA will begin distribution on June 11, 2008. We are very excited about starting up for our first year!
Full shares (which contain 5-7 items each week, and will provide enough vegetables for a family of 2-3 people) will cost $300-$400 on a sliding scale. Half shares, which are picked up every other week, will also be available for $150 - $200 on a sliding scale. These prices are for 22 weeks of deliveries (11 weeks for half shares) and do not include our administrative fee of $15.
Individuals with incomes below $25,000 and families with incomes below $35,000 can request low-cost shares, which work out to less than $14/week for full shares and about $7/week for half shares.
Shares can be picked up Wednesdays between 4:00 pm-7:30 pm at the Northeast corner of Fort Greene Park (Myrtle Avenue & Washington Park).
We are in the process of signing up members. At the present time, we are operating a waiting list for people interested in the CSA who do not qualify for a low-cost share.
